Born to Estonian parents, more or less a Nova Scotian since early childhood. Although I've also lived in NYC, California, West Germany, North Carolina, Washington State, and Newfoundland.
My politics are vaguely centrist. No party affiliations. Green on the environment, conservative on defense, somewhat left of centre on social issues...probably a fairly typical mishmash. I'd like to think I am much more unbiased than in my university days. I look a bit askance at anyone more than 30 years of age who has a canned simplistic Weltanschauung.
I'm a professional programmer now, and have been for decades. I spent 6 years in the US military, and also served in the Canadian militia...artillery in both services. My educational background is in Physics.
